Mining can be a business of its own or the upstream supply of manufacturing. BARREL participates as a joint-venture partner in lithium, in coal mining and trade, and in the exploration-to-refining chain of critical minerals — with partners who hold the leases, the expertise and the approvals.
India's Ministry of Mines lists lithium, cobalt, copper, graphite, nickel, silicon, rare earth elements, tungsten and vanadium among its critical minerals — the materials of batteries, cables, magnets and solar glass.
