Frequently asked questions

Renewable energy solutions at BARREL, in brief.

Which renewable energy technologies does BARREL work with?

Hydropower, wind power, ground-mounted solar, floating solar and agrivoltaics — together with hybrid and storage configurations that combine them.

Can BARREL take a project from concept to commissioning?

Yes. The scope can run from opportunity identification, land and feasibility through engineering, approvals, procurement, construction, grid connectivity and commissioning, and continue into O&M. Each engagement is defined by an agreed scope of work.

Can you help identify land or a water body for a project?

Yes. Land identification, preliminary suitability checks, landowner coordination, aggregation and lease or acquisition facilitation can be part of the development scope; for floating solar we assess reservoirs and other water bodies.

Do you handle grid connectivity and power evacuation?

Yes. Connectivity studies and applications, pooling substations, transmission lines and coordination with the relevant utilities can be included, subject to utility requirements and approved system studies.

Can an industry buy renewable power without investing in its own plant?

Eligible consumers can explore RESCO / OPEX, group-captive and third-party open-access arrangements, depending on state regulations, the project structure and commercial feasibility.

Does BARREL arrange project finance?

BARREL prepares financial models and financing documentation and coordinates with potential lenders and investors. Funding is always subject to their due diligence and approvals.

Is agrivoltaics suitable for every crop and site?

No — suitability depends on the crop, climate, machinery, water and structure design. Each agrivoltaic project starts with an agronomic and engineering assessment.

Can landowners, developers or investors submit a project to BARREL?

Yes. Use the enquiry form on this page with the location, capacity and stage; our team will carry out a preliminary technical and commercial evaluation.
